Announcements

The 2009 season was a rough one the Fighting Texas A&M Lacrosse team to say the least with a record of 9-10 and not making it to the National. The good news is that over half the team was Freshmen and Sophmore and they all got a lot of field time so NEXT YEAR will put us back on top to the Lone Star Alliance. As the team found out this year it will take a lot of work and focus.

Aggie Alumni Starts New Lacrosse Manufacturing Company

Former Texas A&M lacrosse player, Brian DeSpain, class of 2005, has started a new lacrosse manufacturing company called 1 Lacrosse.  DeSpain played at A&M from 2001 – 2005, and served as the team president during the '04 and '05 seasons.  During this time, he had the opportunity to travel around the world to various lacrosse tournaments with fellow teammates including Ryan Turnbow, class of 2006.  This is where his passion for the expansion of the game started.  After college, DeSpain moved to China to work, and during this time he was helping with the Chinese Lacrosse Association to develop the game in Beijing.  It was there that DeSpain began exploring the manufacturing side of lacrosse, in search of a more affordable way to supply lacrosse equipment to developing lacrosse regions around the globe.  The idea was born, and DeSpain assembled a group of partners, investors, and enthusiasts to bring this dream to reality.  After 2 years of intense planning, preparations, and preliminary manufacturing, 1 Lacrosse has now hit the scene both in the US and in Europe.

Someone put their home video of the Texas A&M team in action in or about 1975 on You Tube, Click Here to see the video. I really want to find out who put the video on You Tube so if any one know PLEASE contact Frank "Catfish" Boyd. There are also a few other A&M video on You Tube that you might want to watch. Who is this mask man putting the old video of the early 1970 Lacrosse team on the web, Tyler Cruzen found and other one that in some ways better than the first. You can now see Texas A&M playing in Texas Stadium in 1975. Ask Lloyd Hetrick how here made out with the cheer leader.

The mystery camera man of the 1970's has now been ID, he is the one an only Bill Dickup'77. I hope to be able to post all of his old 8mm film in the video section soon.
